A new chapter for a beloved family farm

Whetstone Maple and Mill is a historic 317-acre farm in Brattleboro, Vermont owned and operated by Jenn Ibanez and Henry Tareque. The property, previously known as Whetstone Valley Farm, was established in the 1940s and continuously operated for over 70 years by the Hamilton family before Jenn and Henry became the new stewards of the land in late 2023. We hope you’ll join us on this new adventure!

Our farm is built on a legacy of good, honest work.

Longtime residents of New England and admirers of the beauty Vermont has to offer, we decided to take the leap into farm life in 2023. Our farm is home to 317 acres of beautiful rolling hills, including a gravity-fed network of over 3000 maple taps and 60 acres of pristine pastures. Come visit us and you may just see resident cows Raspberry, Ralphie, and Randy lounging in the afternoon sun, our pups Pinto and Luna greeting you from up the hill, or one of the shy barn cats scampering across your path into our historic barns. It is an honor to take this piece of living agricultural history into our own hands, and we plan to enjoy every step of this new journey.
